      Management:  Expert in business management and budget matters. As a senior government leader in the Department of Defense, had oversight for the entire Navy and Marine Corps Reserve Components, a multi-billion dollar program employing a large and culturally diversified constituency. Experienced in conflict resolution and mediation.

 

      Adaptable:  During my tour as a senior leader in the Department of Defense, honed ability to rapidly assimilate and apply substantive knowledge and the nuances inherent in a complex and multi-faceted organization. Able to think on my feet and make real time judgments responsive to conflicting interests. 

 

      Governmental/Agency Coordination: Politically sensitive and astute. Coordinated programs with governmental agencies including Departments of Commerce, Defense, Justice, Environmental Protection Agency, and Federal Aviation Administration on a myriad of complex issues, including homeland security and other policy initiatives.

Conducted advocacy with community and government leaders, as well as local, state, federal, and international agencies.   Under the administrative direction of Price Charities and McComic Consolidated, coordinated and implemented advocacy initiatives with San Diego community and governmental agencies.

 

      Corporate Governance/Business Practice:  Twenty plus years experience in forming, guiding and representing corporations. Experienced in shareholder/management/board relations and issue resolution as well as matters related to Sarbannes-Oxley.  Mediator.

      Strategic Planning/Vision definition and policy formulation: Organized and led senior Department of Defense leaders and the private sector in strategic planning, complex organizational and program analysis, and problem solving. Key focus on identifying and serving the consumer.

 

      Media Experience: Seasoned and effective public speaker. Extensive experience with media interviews and panels. Experienced in message creation and communication. Delivers message with appropriate focus and passion.

 

     Environmental and Property Development: Structuring, capitalization and management of real estate development. Prepared related contracts, conducted litigation, and resolved property use issues (zoning, etc.), construction defects, environmental and regulatory concerns.
